A triumphant welcome
Dr. Roxanne Cheek, a long-time partner of WeCCARE Foundation, recently visited Shekinah Glory Shelter Home in Cameroon to discuss collaboration on children’s health. Dr. Cheek is a philanthropist from the United States who has been instrumental in supporting WeCCARE Foundation’s work.
During her visit, Dr. Cheek met with WeCCARE Foundation staff to discuss the organization’s work in healthcare. She also visited the orphanage and spoke to the children about the importance of health and hygiene. She encouraged them to stay healthy and to take care of themselves.
Dr. Cheek was impressed with WeCCARE Foundation’s work and expressed her desire to collaborate with the organization on a number of projects. She said that she was particularly interested in WeCCARE Foundation’s work on early childhood healthcare, as she believes that this is a critical area for investment.

Dr. Cheek and WeCCARE Foundation staff discussed a number of ways to collaborate on children’s health. They discussed the possibility of funding new programs, providing training for staff, and advocating for better healthcare policies. They also discussed the challenges that the country faces in providing quality healthcare to all children, and they explored ways to overcome these challenges.
The visit of Dr. Cheek was a valuable opportunity for WeCCARE Foundation to discuss its work with a long-time partner and to explore ways to collaborate on future projects. WeCCARE Foundation is grateful for the support of Dr. Cheek and looks forward to working with her in the future.
