On May 10th 2024, under the coordination of Dr OBEN, CEO of the WECCARE Foundation, the staff of the Foundation marked their commitment to health and citizenship by actively participating in the launch of the national vitamin A supplementation and deworming campaign in Simbock, Yaoundé. This major event, chaired by the Governor of the Centre Region, raised community awareness of the importance of these vital interventions for children’s health.

Registering on the Electoral roll

As well as taking part in the public health campaign, Weccare Foundation staff took the opportunity to register massively on the electoral roll. This exemplary civic gesture underlines the importance the Foundation places on citizen participation and healthy democracy. By ensuring that their voices are heard at election time, Weccare staff are helping to shape the future of Simbock and the Centre region.

Pupils aged 0-5 years getting immunized

At the same time, the Weccare Foundation School (Hadassah School), one of the pillars of the organisation, actively participated in the campaign by administering vaccines to pupils aged 0 to 5, with the informed consent of their parents. This action demonstrates the Foundation’s holistic commitment to the well-being of children in the community.
