At the WECCARE Foundation, we’re dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with cleft lip and palate in Cameroon. Our partnership with SmileTrain has enabled us to provide free cleft surgeries to countless patients across the country.
As a plastic surgeon, there’s no greater satisfaction than seeing the joy and confidence that radiates from a patient after their surgery. A simple smile can have a profound impact on a person’s life. It can open doors to new opportunities, improve self-esteem, and foster a sense of belonging.
For many of our patients, the journey to a cleft surgery has been filled with challenges. The physical and emotional toll of living with a cleft can be significant, affecting their self-esteem and social interactions. But with the help of our dedicated team and the support of SmileTrain, we’re able to provide the care and support they need to overcome these challenges.
Thanks to the generous support of SmileTrain, we’ve been able to provide free cleft surgeries to patients in need throughout Cameroon. Our team of dedicated surgeons, nurses, and staff work tirelessly to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality care. We also provide post-operative care and support to help patients fully recover and adjust to their new lives.
