Sammy Orock OBEN, MD
President and Co-founder of WeCCARE Foundation
Since completing his basic medical training at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and subsequent post graduate trainings at the University of Yaoundé- Cameroon and The Free University of Brussel-Belgium, respectively, Dr Sammy Orock OBEN has worked as a Physician and later as a General/Plastic Surgeon at various Christian missionary, governmental and other health facilities within his native Country Cameroon and the Central African sub region of CEMAC.
Dr. OBEN voluntarily disengaged from services at The Apostolic Church Cameroon medical services in 2011 and focused on advocacy and strategic health policy, social services, impacting health care in vulnerable societies and sustainable community development in Cameroon and other central and west African countries. Together with his wife, Mrs. OBEN Dorothy Manyi, in 2011, cofounded WECCARE FOUNDATION: A non-profit organization with its headquarters in Simbock-Yaoundé, Cameroon with actives covering countries of the CEMAC zone.
In 2012, Dr OBEN founded Hadassah Hospitals Cameroon and became the pioneering Chief Medical Director of its maiden medical facility at Simbock-Yaoundé, Cameroon. He is also the current head of Department for Plastic, Aesthetics/Reconstructive surgery and Regenerative medicine at Hadassah Medical Centre, Simbock Yaoundé. Dr Oben is the leading SMILE TRAIN partner Surgeon for OROFACIAL Cleft reconstruction in the CEMAC zone countries of Central African region. He is certified member of the Cameroon Medical Council and a founding member of the Cameroon College of physicians and Surgeons.
He is married with 5 children and the family lives in Yaoundé Cameroon.

Dr. Clement Tabe MD/MPH &DIMPH physician General Practice at Hadassah Medical Center. He has over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry with significant emphasis in Promoting the Quality of Medicine, Clinical Laboratory Medicine, Public Health (Infectious Disease Prevention and Control), Community Health, Global Health, Health care investment Management, Health Care Policy and Regulations, Biomedical Science& Research, Development Sponsorships Initiatives, Dynamic Leadership, and Innovations. Dr. Tabe has successfully build a team of expats with varied background who are committed in delivering the objectives of this organization.
Clement Tabe hold an MD from Medical University of LODZ Poland, MPH degree from Walden University MN. A Diploma in International Medicine and Public Health from Institute of International Medicine and Public Health in Kansas, And a BS from Austin Peay State University TN. Dr. Tabe is also a Veteran of the US Military with over 15 years of service in the Army with outstanding background serving across the world. Dr. tabe is also CEO and founder of ACT Global Health Corporation LLC a community base and global outreach organization base in Atlanta Georgia.
Patrick Oben (MD)
Patrick Oben works as a Hospitalist at MercyOne Medical Center Des Moines, Iowa, USA. He Founder and President of Patrick Oben Ministries Inc, a teaching ministry based in Ankeny, Iowa with a mission to build a glorious Church by the teaching of the Word of God. He is also the Founder and President of Experience Physicians LLC, a consulting company that seeks improve the patient and physician experiences across healthcare institutions. He currently lives in Ankeny, Iowa with his wife and 3 daughters.
Roxanne L. Cheek, DVM
Dr Cheek is a Distinguished Graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Animal Science and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. For 33 years Dr. Cheek has operated a highly successful mobile veterinary practice in Jacksonville, Florida where she is a wife, mother and active member of her church. She is a renowned humanitarian rendering assistance to members of farming communities in remote areas of West Africa. She championed the Water for Life Project and founded an Elementary School in Akid, Cameroon. Dr. Cheeks has labored with Dr Oben and the WeCCARE Foundation during her many trips to Cameroon and is delighted to serve Hadassah Medical.
