WeCCARE Foundation operates in 3 main domains: Education, health care, and community-based projects. In healthcare, WeCCARE Foundation Cameroon owns Hadassah Medical Centre, which is located at the heart of the Simbock quarter in Yaounde, Cameroon. Since its creation in March 2014, Hadassah Medical Centre has grown to be a reference centre through its high-quality services and qualified staff all this under the watchful eye of its President and CEO; Dr OBEN Sammy Orock. A major challenge soon sprouted through this expansion: the inadequate capacity of this local health facility to accommodate its ever-growing patient flow.
In the year 2022, Dr OBEN came up with the ingenious idea of expanding the hospital to a new site that will serve as headquarters in the image of its founder Dr OBEN. As of the time of writing, this project has been translated from just a mere vision to its implementation. Going from securing land to preparing it for the erection of the new infrastructure.
The plan for the new hospital building was done on the 1st of August 2022 and funds are now required to make this project see daylight. Upon completion, it will be able to receive more and more patients and provide better health care services.
